What is a VPN?

A VPN, or Virtual Private Network, allows the user to connect their device to another server on the Internet and browse through that server's Internet connection. As such, a connection using a VPN will show an IP address belonging to the VPN server rather than the actual user's IP.

There are special VPN detection services that help companies to detect VPN users.
